Blog? What Blog?

2011 has not been the year of the blog for this red head.  Judging by the lack of hate mail from my reader(s) I am guessing you have not lost any sleep over my lack of blog entries. As a side note to those who read this blog... You may have noticed grammar and typing errors on my blog. Sorry to those typing police out there, but this is a rookie non-professional blog. I am gonna just type and not care about the form. Comments about my horrible punctuation can be discussed on one of those blogs for typing nerds.

Any hooo...This has been a crazy year, but a good one!   Since I am so not cool enough to put one of those newsletters in Christmas cards that I may or may not remember to mail ...here are some of the highlights.

January - Frogs win the Rose Bowl, we move to our new house

February- our 3rd wedding anniversary, I total the Honda and get a rocking arm injury, then run a half marathon in Disney World 2 weeks later

March - Celebrated Amanda's bday in Disney, VCU goes to final 4, prepared for the annual VDOE LSL workshop

April- Presented at the annual LSL workshop for VDOE,  planned a top secret baby shower for a good friend, Andy Dalton is drafted to the NFL.

May - took a couple weeks off of work for a staycation.  Robert turned 30, Amanda Graduated, my dear friend Regina Craig passes away from pancreatic cancer

June - Made it to another bday, I finish 2 online training modules for early intervention professionals about early hearing detection and intervention. We start our series of summer camps at work. I enroll in personal training to attempt to get my butt to the gym in some kind of regular fashion (keep reading for the results of this endeavor).

July - Amanda and I manage to track down the 1 remaining fireworks stand in VA, We do 3 summer camps at work

August- Now here's where things got fun again... Robert spends 3 weeks away from home for work, we get an earthquake, and a hurricane, lose power for 8 days, and I get shingles in the middle of the whole thing...

September - Frog football starts with our new awesome QB,  I join the education committee for the 2012 AG Bell convention, and get to planning, we hire a full time therapist at my office, I go to Houston for annual cancer scans and get the news that now that I am an 8 year survivor I get to go back to MD Anderson every 2 years instead of annually

October - I travel to disney for another half marathon, the whole personal training thing doesnt really work out seeing as how I work 15 hours a day... and then head to the regional EHDI meeting in North Carolina with our entire staff, we have our annual pumpkin patch party

November - Robert and I spend an entire week on the Oasis of the Seas in the Carribean, and vow that we will one day live in St Marteen. We drive to and from Ft. Lauderdale for the cruise, and 4 days later I board the plan and go the the Keirland resort and spa in Scottsdale  to help finish up the paper selections for the 2012 AG Bell convention. All of that traveling meant that I was in 9 states one US territory, and 2 countries in a week and a half... Robert spends all of the days he worked in November out of town.

December- Robert gets detailed again out of town for the entire month, we do our annual company Christmas Party, end of the year book keeping projects, the office closes for Christmas, and we count our blessings for a wonderful year, and travel to Texas for a long overdue visit to see our family and friends in Texas.

So there it is in all of it's not so coolness. Maybe 2012 will bring some more blog action. Merry Christmas!

Semi Annual Ramble!

For my follower(s), (Mom?.. oh wait, nope) this is the most exciting email news you can get! It's semi-annual blog time! This is of course not to be confused with the Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale. THAT is way more awesome than my blog. Although in these tough economic times, I can promise my blog may be easier on the wallet. I mean at this rate I'll prob need to start paying people to read.....

It seems like a perfectly good day to pretend like my life is cool enough to give myself interweb fame, seeing as it is my birthday and all.

Anyhoo, back to the important updates from the year. As some of you may know, I have been pretending to run a business rocking Hello Kitty socks, Hello Kitty coffee mugs, a teeny bopper cell phone case, and a pink laptop cover. That remains the case in 2011.

In other good news, I am still married. Judging by the fact that my husband remembered today was my birthday, and supported the festivities with gifts and pink cupcakes, I'll go out on a limb and say (spoiler ALERT) 2012 may bring an additional year of marriage.

While we do not have children to post pics of to make this blog look more legit...I am happy to brag that our dog Ralphie is still alive and kicking. We feed him everyday, and walk him on an almost daily basis. I hear that kid related bloggin' is what's happening on all those other blogs. As an entrepreneur I prefer to stay innovative offering something the customers can't get anywhere else. So we'll aim for kid-free bloggin' in 2011-2012 and leave that domain up to those expert veterans out there....

Looking at my last post, I can confirm that I think I blog way more than I vacation. I did manage to take time off work in Feb run a half marathon in Disneyworld. It was spectacular.....Let's face it, I could be convinced to clean the toilets in that place if they told me I would get to wear a crown and a tutu and get a pretty medal at the end. Knowing Disney they would probably find a way to charge me for the magical throne cleaning experience.

The rest of this year looks promising considering it's not football season yet. I'll keep you posted!...maybe....
